1ST SHIFT – FULL TIME
Process Development Engineer --
SCI Engineered Materials, Inc. of Columbus, OH, a manufacturer of sputtering targets for a variety of thin film industries seeks a Process Development Engineer. The primary responsibility of the Process Development Engineer is to assist the Vice President, Technology in the development of processes for manufacturing ceramic and metallic sputtering target products. This will include the implementation and supervision of the company’s laboratory sputtering units and associated analytical tools. The Process Development Engineer will also be assisting the Production Manager with production issues, as well as other duties as assigned. This position requires a minimum of a B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering or Material Science Engineering and 3 years of industrial experience. Powder Process Technician --
The Powder Process Technician will be responsible for batching and mixing powder using a variety of chemical processes, including solid state precipitation, ultrasonic dispersion and spray drying. Previous batching or mixing experience is preferred. Applicants must also be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
This position requires a minimum of an Associate's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics; or equivalent experience.
Bonding Technician --
The primary role of the Bonding Technician is to prepare materials for bonding, use a low melt bonding technology for joining and then clean bonded materials.
Position requires extreme attention to detail. Experience in a skilled trade is preferred, but not required.
Shipping / Receiving clerk --
Must be computer literate with excellent attention to detail. Experience with domestic and international shipments is ideal. Ability to occasionally lift up to 75lbs on your own as well as operate a forklift is required.
Other duties include:
• -Prepare shipping documents
• -Prepare receiving inspection documents for the quality department
• -Clean metals and ceramics using various abrasives
2ND SHIFT – FULL TIME
CNC Operator --
Responsibilities include running CNC programs on a Lathe, loading and cutting parts on a band saw, and loading parts for milling operation. Other duties would include kiln loading and unloading, and maintaining cleanliness of shop.
CNC programming experience is not necessary. The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to take direction. Machine Shop experience is desired, but not required.
Pay will be commensurate to experience and qualifications.
